What is CoachLytix?
CoachLytix is a platform built for golf coaches to manage players, log lessons, and track progress in one place. It replaces scattered notes, spreadsheets, and messaging threads with a single organised workspace.
How do I create an account?
Click Get Started on the homepage or go to the registration page. Enter your name, email, and password, agree to the terms, and your account will be ready in under two minutes.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan lets you manage up to 5 players with unlimited lesson notes, basic player profiles, tagging, and a dashboard overview. You can upgrade to Pro at any time from Settings → Billing.
What should I do after signing up?
Add your first player from the Players page, then log a lesson with a focus area and notes. Once you have a few lessons recorded, your dashboard and player insights will start to show useful trends.
Players
Managing your students and their profiles.
How do I add a player?
Go to Players and click Add Player. Enter their name and any optional details such as email, phone, and handicap. Each player gets their own profile where you can view lessons, insights, and progress.
How many players can I have?
The Free plan supports up to 5 players. Pro gives you unlimited players. You can see your current plan and upgrade from Settings → Billing.
What are player tags?
Player tags help you group students — for example Junior, Elite, or Beginner. Apply tags when creating or editing a player to filter and organise your roster more easily.
Can I share a player's progress with them?
Yes. Each player has a unique share link you can send to students or parents. The public view shows their lesson history and progress without exposing your full coach account.
What does the inactive player setting do?
In Settings → Profile, you can set how many days without a lesson before a player is marked inactive (default is 90 days). This helps you spot students who may need a follow-up.
Lessons
Recording sessions and tracking coaching focus.
How do I log a lesson?
Open Lessons and click Add Lesson. Select the player, date, and focus area, then add your notes. You can also attach files, add tags, and optionally record a performance score before saving.
What are lesson tags?
Lesson tags categorise what you worked on — for example Putting, Driving, or Short Game. Tags make it easy to filter lessons later and see which areas you coach most often. You can manage your tags from the Lessons page.
Can I attach files to a lesson?
Yes. When creating or editing a lesson, you can upload files such as PDFs, documents, or videos. On the Free plan you can attach one file per lesson. Pro includes video uploads and storage.
What is the performance score?
The performance score is an optional 1–10 rating for how a player performed in a lesson. It is for your own tracking and insights — players do not see this value on their shared profile.
Can I edit or delete a lesson?
Yes. Open any lesson from the Lessons list or a player's profile, then use Edit to update the details or Delete to remove it permanently.
Plans & Billing
Free vs Pro and managing your subscription.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes up to 5 players, unlimited lesson notes, basic profiles, tagging, and one attachment per lesson. Pro adds unlimited players, video uploads and storage, analytics and insights, and priority access to new features.
How much does Pro cost?
Pro is £4.99 per month. You can compare plans and upgrade from Settings → Billing at any time.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to Settings → Billing and click Upgrade to Pro. You will be guided through the checkout process. Once active, Pro features are available immediately.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
In Settings → Billing, click Manage billing to open the billing portal where you can update payment details, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.
What happens if I downgrade to Free?
Your account stays active on the Free plan. If you have more than 5 players, you will need to remove players to stay within the Free limit. Pro-only features such as video storage will no longer be available.
Account & Settings
Profile, preferences, and account management.
How do I update my profile?
Go to Settings → Profile to update your name, club or organisation, and coaching preferences. For full profile edits, use Edit personal information to open your profile page.
How do I change my password?
Use the password reset flow from the login page if you are signed out. If you are signed in and need to change your password, contact support and we will help you update your credentials securely.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account and use Delete Account in the danger zone. This permanently removes your players, lessons, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data private?
Your coaching data is only visible to you. Player share links expose only the specific player's progress view — not your full account or other students.
